The day began with a swim in the Persian Gulf.  The water was like tub water.  

Great until we saw a bunch of blue jellyfish

We explored our resort (Jurmeirah Dar Al Masyef) by boat shuttle …​

​The boys enjoyed the water park for a little while until they got too hot.  Charlie and I headed to the Emirates Mall to get some last minute supplies and help with my camera which was having a technical issue (luckily the local Nikon service center was able to fix it).  

As two Conn College alum, we enjoyed all the camels we saw.

We ended the day with dinner at Trader Vic’s (a family favorite during Charlie’s childhood).

We safely arrive in the United Arab Emirates around 7:30pm local time.  100 degrees and very humid.  Hard to imagine what it will be like when the sun comes out.  

Had some dinner and wandered around the area where we are staying.  Saw the Burj Al Arab Jumeriah (a famous sail shaped luxury hotel) …

July 31st just before 9pm, we arrived at Logan for our 11:15pm Emirates Air flight to Dubai.
